About

I’m a writer, musician, publisher, and educator based in the qathet Regional District of British Columbia, Canada. I previously lived in Vancouver for just over a decade. Born in Calgary, raised in a small town and on a farm in northern Alberta, I spent most of my twenties and thirties in Edmonton where I completed my studies and had a career as a public school teacher.

I earned an M.A. in English, a B.A. Honours in English, and a B.Ed at the University of Alberta. I went on to teach mainly information processing and language arts to junior high and elementary students for fifteen years.

I now work as a learning design specialist and learning management system administrator, a role I’m fortunate to be able to do remotely. My calling, however, lies in artistic and expressive pursuits, and it is these which are primarily showcased or linked in this site.

My work is informed by the places in which I’ve lived, worked, and learned, as well as by my identities and curiosities. I’m a queer polyamorous woman and a Canadian Jewish atheist. English is my first language, but I’m progressing toward fluency in French as a second. I’m curious about many things, including spirituality, science, literature, language, history, music, and the creative life.
